Vacation 2009 - this is a LoNg post with MaNy pictures!

It has been a loonngg time since we took a real vacation.
So we decided we needed one and we headed out with no actual plan.
We visited the ocean in California,

where seagulls and pelicans abound.

I lOvE this picture of Daryl!

Then to the Giant Redwoods -

where if you look closely you will see Daryl
at the base of the Giants!
Wild raspberries

and hanging moss growing amongst the Redwoods!

We lOvEd Whaleshead Beach in Oregon,

Multanomah Falls is bEaUtIfUl!

Windblown at Mount Rainier National Park.

Then we arrived in Washington
and had an absolutley WoNdErFuL visit with our son
and his family!
There were men pontificating,

pretty girls,

kissing sweethearts,

happy families -
Willie wasn't there when we visited :(

and lots of smiles!

I lOvE this face!

Time to relax!

Then we visited our other son and his family
where we had an equally wOnDeRfUl time!
Again, there were men pontificating,

and a pretty girl joining the fun.

Grandpa spun the blade just as Grandma snapped the picture.
"Where me go?," Kaya asked when she saw this picture.

"Oh, there I am!"
There was swinging with Grandpa,
and sliding down big slides.

Isn't our grandaughter gorgeous?

We picked the first carrot from the garden and Kaya enjoyed it greatly!

Jon at "Buellah's".
What a handsome man!

Their happy family!

So in love!

We went on to visit our twins - who have grown sooo much! Beautiful Alexis!
Darling Ashley!
Silly sisters!

Grandma loves these girls!
So does Grandpa!
Aren't they lovely young women?

Then we stopped to see Daryl's mom,

and returned home to youngsters and yoga!

It was a fAnTaStIc summer!

My Niece said ...

... "Aunt Terri, Man you need to get some new pics on this blog!! :)"
So here we go - FINALLY!
In May we made a quick run to Idaho to see our
Super Soccer Star Grandson in action!

Go Skylar! Go Skylar! Go!

Enjoyed our oh so pretty Grandaughter!

Swing, Jordan, Swing!

Look how tall he's got - long legs, this one!

And the race is on!

Bumper car madness!

Riding the horse at the museum

We sailed aboard the Titanic!

We went for ice cream!

Before ordering we asked the kids if the goodies were small enough we could each have our own, or if we should share a few. They said they were small, we better each get one.

Then we got the ice cream ---

I think Daryl's face says it all!

They thought they were hilarious!

The four of us - We love these kids SOOOO much!

Stopped at Chris' cross for a moment of quiet rememberance -

and had a nice visit with Gary.

We had a fun time with Daryl's mom and ALL his brothers and sisters!

Then we headed back home to

a boy reading about Thomas

a girl reading us library books,

and fun times at the "gate"!
